Since the Supreme Court’s recent ruling against race-based college admissions opponents of diversity efforts have been emboldened. Yet Big Tech stands firm, advocating for diversity and using the law to remain unbothered by critics of corporate diversity.

Apple and several other Big Tech peers signed an amicus brief (a statement of support for a particular decision before a court) imploring the Supreme Court to vote in favor of affirmative action and reward universities that reach out to underrepresented groups.

Microsoft, for its part, also stood up to the college affirmative action critics who have a target on diversity equity and inclusion’s (DEI) back.
