In March, security firm SANS Institute launched a cybersecurity education program to diversify the industry, filling the cybersecurity skills gap of 3.4 million workers with women and people from underrepresented groups.
The announcement of the SANS Cloud Security Academy (SCSA) aligns with the White House’s release of its National Cybersecurity Strategy. The fourth pillar of the strategy includes education and SANS looks to support the NCS initiative with the SCSA.
SANS offered scholarships for SCSA to 25 entry level tech workers. Use this link to express interest in the program.
